Dr. Daniel Yerger is the founder of MY Wealth Planners, and was Longmont, CO's first fee-only CFP(R) Professional. He has been recognized in industry as a Young Advisor to Watch by Financial Advisor Magazine (2026), a Best Financial Planner by Money Magazine (2024), and NAPFA's New Professional Award (2023). In Longmont he has been awarded the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce's Building Bridges (2020) and Ambassador of the Year (2018) awards. In public service, Dr. Yerger currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as Chair of the NAPFA West Region Board, NexGen Representative for the FPA Executive Committee, and Inaugural Chair of the FPA Shift Conference. Dr. Yerger has published two books in industry, "Getting in the Door: Starting a Financial Planning Career" (2022), a career guide for new financial planners, and a satire, "Secrets of the Rich: What the Wealthy Don't Want You To Know About Money" (2026). His academic research has been published in the Journal of Financial Planning, Kitces.com, and Kansas State University.

Dr. Yerger splits his time between serving as President of the RIA he founded, MY Wealth Planners, and as an advocate for the financial planning profession. He writes a weekly industry blog for MY Wealth Planners, and regularly writes for Kitces and other industry publications. He also hosts "The Science of Wealth," a podcast on learning the science of financial planning.
